Small Groups

Every semester we invite our community to participate in small groups.  These

groups may have a book study that relates to a particular field of study, a

Bible study, class or it may even be a pub discussion where we discuss the latest issues of the day from a Christian perspective.

The Small Groups for Fall 2019 are:

Surprised by Joy: The Shape of my early Life - CS Lewis (part of Campus Inklings)

Gather to read the story of CS Lewis together. Just show up and we'll read out loud.

C. S. Lewis—the great British writer, scholar, lay theologian, broadcaster, Christian apologist, and bestselling author of Mere Christianity, The Screwtape Letters, The Great Divorce, The Chronicles of Narnia, and many other beloved classics—takes readers on a spiritual journey through his early life and eventual embrace of the Christian faith. Lewis begins with his childhood in Belfast, surveys his boarding school years and his youthful atheism in England, reflects on his experience in World War I, and ends at Oxford, where he became "the most dejected and reluctant convert in all England." As he recounts his lifelong search for joy, Lewis demonstrates its role in guiding him to find God." - Summary from Bookseller

Baking for Our Neighbours

For 6 years, we've rented space from St. Joseph's Church. St. Joe's also is home to St. Joe's Supper Table, ministry of food for many of our less privileged neighbours. Every week a group of students meets to bake cookies or muffins for St. Joe's Supper Table as a way of giving back to the community we're a part of. For 2019-20, please contact Miriam (Mim) who will be the student leading this ministry of mercy. Click HERE to email Miriam for details. NO PREVIOUS BAKING SKILLS NEEDED!
